History of Football (Soccer)
Football- meaning
A number of different team sports are given a common name which is football. Associated football is also known as soccer. The associated football also known as soccer is a team game and is played between two teams. Each team comprises of 11 players. Football or soccer is one of the most popular sports in the World. It is a ball game and is played on a rectangular grass field or an artificial turf filed with goals at the centre of each end.
The aim of the game is to score the goals by manoeuvring the ball in the opposite goal. On each goal there is a goal keeper placed. The objective of the goalkeeper is to stop the ball from entering into the goal area. The goalkeeper can stop the ball by using his entire body. The goalkeeper is the only player who can use his hands and arms in order to stop the ball. The team which scores the maximum number of goals wins the game.
If incase the goals scored by both the teams are equaled then the penalty shoot-outs are declared. If the same number of goals is scored evenly in the penalty the match is declared as a draw match.
The players are not equipped with any complex form but the equipments used are simple. The equipments consists of studs (which are special kind of shoes which have a much better grip as compared to the normal shoes), stockings etc.
