Fifa blocks cousin’s switch

Fifa the football governing body has blocked the proposed 3 million pounds switch of the ranger’s striker Daniel Cousin to Fulham football club. The chief executive of the ranger, Martin Bain, was very disappointed with the decision of the governing body and said that it was a very frustrating period for all parties concerned. The 31 year old footballer has already played in two teams in the season. The two teams are the Rangers and the Lens. According to the Fifa rules one player can not appear in more than two teams in a single season. This is in fact the reason for which Fifa has blocked the shift of the players to the Fulham football club.

The striker was signed by the Rangers from the Lens for 1.1 million pounds in the summer. Actually the Rangers and the Fulham’s agreed a fee for the forward in the month of January but the problem came as the transfer of Cousin to the English Premiere League required the permission of the Fifa. The movement has been blocked by Fifa for the time being but the transfer could still take place in the coming summer. The chief executive of the rangers Bain said that the ruling of the governing authority that is of the Fifa has been very disappointing for all the concerned people who were involved in the transfer.

According to the rangers they are very unhappy with Fifa that it took them so long to take a decision on the matter. According to them the transfer was entered into by the rangers as the offer which was very beneficial for the footballer and the rangers were fully aware of the fact that the footballer has already appeared in two teams in the season. The footballer was though very happy staying in the field and fighting for his own place.
