Premier League has come up with a very radical idea and it seems that the people related to this sport have already started to raise their voices. The Premier League wants each team to play an overseas extra match which will be an addition to the 38 matches that a team plays in a season.
Sepp Blatter who is the president of FIFA has already voted against this idea. Managers of various football teams have also raised their voice against this plan. The Premier League will need a green signal from FIFA before they actually implement this plan on the teams.
Scudamore who is the Chief Executive of the Premier League has complete knowledge of the public reaction. He claims that they will not go ahead with the plan if they get the nod from FIFA. It is very important for the Football League and the Football Association to be comfortable with any plans made by the Premier League.
The Chief Executive of the Premier League is ready to investigate into the matter. This investigation would take place to check whether the 39th game would be fair on every ones part. This plan was introduced to expand the league on global basis.
The matter is going to be consulted with the respective authorities and if the deviation would benefit the League then it would be implemented. If the authorities feel that it is not worth it to reformat the system then Premier League will have to find a new plan for their global expansion.
