Manchester United is supposedly the most famous football club of the world and there is no reason why they shouldn’t be. Manchester United’s match against Tottenham Hotspurs was supposed to be a normal Premiership match but it turned out to be something else. Manchester United was leading the Barclays Premier League table but after a draw against Tottenham, the Red Devils have come to a second position below arch rivals Arsenal. This was not the only bad news that the Manchester team had to face apart from that the club has been fined 25,000 pounds. The Red Devils had to incur a huge fine of 25,000 pounds from the Football Association after 7 Manchester United players were booked in their match against Tottenham Hotspurs.

The following United players were booked in Saturdays 1-1 draw, starting from Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar and super stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wes Brown, Nani, Nemanja Vidic, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez. This fine is based on a rule of the FA that if any team gets 6 or more yellow cards in a single match they would be fined. This rule extends to the fact that if in this season Manchester United repeats the same mistake then it would be consequently fined 50,000 pounds. But the United players will not be facing any disciplinary action for whatever happened on the pitch on Saturday. Rio Ferdinand also had claimed adding to all this that Jenas had handled the ball before Berbatov scored the goal.
