Ryan Giggs the famous Manchester United midfielder remembers the history of the Munich tragedy. Giggs is one of the most decorated players of the famous English football club and he believes that it is a very big responsibility to entertain the public. The Wales winger was found making the statement that the clubs philosophy honed by Sir Matt Busby and continued by Sir Alex Ferguson must live on. “We have to carry on the legacy” said Ryan Giggs after he reminisced about the 23 people who lost their lives in Munich air crash on the sixth of February, 1958 out of which eight were Manchester United players.
Giggs believes that people representing the Red Devils should always play in the right manner and should excite the supporters where ever they go. He claimed that they are other famous clubs in the world like Barcelona and Juventus but Manchester United is special in its own terms for its fans all around the world. Giggs is one of the biggest admirers of Sir Matt and Sir Bobby Charlton, and clearly remembers the day when they both turned up to watch him for a youth game. He was 14 then and was accompanied by present stars like David Beckham and Paul Scholes. Manchester United is all set to mark the day of the Munich crash by beating Manchester City on the 10th of this month as it would mark the 50th anniversary of the Munich crash which completes its 50 years on February 6th.
