Real Leads La Liga by 9 Points

The Spanish football giants, Real Madrid are on their way to win the Spanish Football League title this season as they are riding the top of the table with 9 points in hand. After beating Villarreal at the Bernabeau 3-2, Real Madrid is 9 points clear. Robinho scored 2 and Wesley Sneijder’s single strike was enough to beat Villarreal. On the other hand, Barcelona which was the only team in Madrid’s way drew with Athletic Bilbao. Real’s coach Bernd Schuster said that they have taken an in\important step and after keeping Barcelona at bay, they are their own rivals. He also said that they have discovered their mistakes and have worked on it in the time they had in their hands and knows about all the things they should do in the rest of the season.
In other La Liga matches, Atletico Madrid lost 1-0 to Mallorca while on the other hand, Espanyol suffered a shocking loss to Real Betis. Racing Santander and Real Zaragoza drew their match and Getafe which is was in the relegation zone, won 3-1 against Recreativo Huelva. Getafe after winning this game has moved out of the relegation zone.
Real Madrid is playing in full swing after a couple of years now. The Spanish giants weren’t up to the mark in their previous seasons and concentrated only on getting super stars in their squad. All this resulted in an unstable squad and regular coach sacking, but now things have changed. Undoubtedly, Real Madrid is living up to its reputation.
