Africa Cup of Nations and Injuries Are Making Wenger Worry
Filed Under: Arsenal

January has not been a great month for Arsenal. They were at the top of the league table till the beginning of January, but that changed when they drew a match and simultaneously Manchester United won a match. Then the Carling Cup Semi Finals horror that struck the Gunners on Tuesday, 22nd January at white Heart Lane. The Gunners had to face a lot this month and they need to come back hard after the nasty defeat when they were conceded by the hands of their arch rivals. The arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has a lot to worry after keeping aside all what has happened. Arsenal and Toons clash in English Premier League and all what they have is an injury stricken squad.
Czech winger Tomas Rosicky’s presence is still in doubts because of the knee injury he sustained in a match. Robin Van Persie is out because of a thigh injury, Brazilian midfielder Denilson has a hamstring injury and defender Johan Djouro is sidelined due to a groin injury. But this is not the only thing which is bothering the arsenal Boss. Due to the Africa Cup of Nations, important players of the team like Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue and Alex Song would be missing the game too. However, Theo Walcott would be there and Wenger expects a lot from him after he played well against Newcastle United in their recent FA Cup tie. Looks like the Guns should start firing now.
