Adam Pearson the chairman of Derby football club insists that the club can come back to be a great force in the Premier League in time, but admits that the team looks set for the demotion at the end of the season. The Derby football club is right at the bottom of the table charts with just seven points from their 20 matches. Adam Pearson said to the BBC Radio 5 Live that the team would be a force of the Premier League with no further doubt. He further said that everything is in place for that to happen, with the right recruitment in January and June the Derby football club can be a force very quickly. After being asked whether the team could survive this season Adam Pearson said that it seems a tall order at this moment and the club management has to be serious about that. He further said that they are very optimistic about the future of the club.
The only team that had ever avoided the relegations after being at the bottom of the charts at Christmas was West Borm which was nearly three seasons ago, but the odds are more against Derby football club in repeating the feat in 2008. After gaining promotions through the play offs during the last season the team had struggled hard to make an impression in the top flight, and parted company with Billy Davis the manager on 26th of November. The manager is looking for a few changes in the team that would improve the present state of the club.
