Tottenham and Arsenal Face Semi-Finals
Tottenham and Arsenals the North London rivals would meet in the semi finals for the Carling Cup of the second season in a row. The last team in the draw, Chelsea who had beat the might Liverpool 2-0 on Wednesday would now play the challenging Everton football Club. Tottenham who would also play on Sunday against Arsenal have a poor impression against the team of Arsene Wenger will have to overcome his tough and challenging youngsters. The two legged semi finals for the Carling Cup would take place this week that would starting 7th and 21st of January. Pascal Chimbonda the defender of Tottenham said that he was appreciating the chance to strict revenge upon the Arsenal club who had knocked them down during the last season in the semi final stage.
He said that the game was totally on their side as they were winning the 2-0 at home in the first leg, but they got back to equal the scores to 2-2 and they we ended up in loosing the match in the second leg. He also said that the team has learned from what had happened and it would be different this time. The team can actually win the Carling Cup championship this season and can achieve everything if they perform like they did against the match with Manchester City, He said, he would love it if the team can beat Arsenal at the Emirates this season. Avram Grant the manager of Chelsea said that his team has faced multiple challenges to reach the semi finals and any game is not easy, as Everton football club are very tough this year.
