UEFA Cup Hopes Still Alive

The hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Cup are still alive among the teams in the Group B which are Panathinaikos and Atlentico Madrid after they finished a great qualifying home match. The Dons Football Club is aware that their qualifying largely depends on their final group match that would be held against the Copenhagen Football Club at Pittodrie on the 20th of December as the match seems to be the one for their progress and also to bring them to the knock out stage. The Atlentico Madrid Football Club won their qualifying match by 2-0 with the Copenhagen Football Club where as Panathinaikos Football Club enjoyed their home victory over the Lokomotiv Moscow with the same scores.

Jimmy Calderwood the Aberdeen manager said to BBC Sports that his sides still look forward for chances in the Group B qualifiers. Although the Dons Football Club sit at the last level of the Group B could still make their way for the next stage. The Panathinaikos Football Club led the Group B as they earned nine points from three games where as Atlentico Madrid stay with seven points. The Copenhagen stay with three points, the Lokomotiv Moscow Club won two points out of four games and the Dons Club has one point with another game still remaining. The Aberdeen manager who traveled to Denmark to watch the game of Copenhagen over Atlentico Madrid said that there are still chances for the progress of his team. He further said to BBC Sports that they look forward to win their home match against Copenhagen to make their way to the qualifying teams.
